✧ SODALITE MEANING ✧
Sodalite is a deep royal blue stone streaked with white calcite, named for its high sodium content. It is often mistaken for lapis lazuli, but has no gold flecks of pyrite.
It is a stone of logic and truth, associated with clear thinking, calm communication and intuition. Connected to the throat and third eye chakras, it encourages rational, honest expression.
Sodalite became an important ornamental stone after large deposits were found in Ontario, Canada, in 1891. It is also linked with humility and with staying calm and level headed.
- Chakra and Zodiac: Throat and third eye chakras; associated with Sagittarius.
