Hand knotted beaded necklaces, each featuring a stunning little hand carved Tanzanian ruby leaf, and a unique gemstone bead combination. All finished with either recycled sterling silver, 14ct gold plated or 9ct gold fastenings.

Set in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Longido region of northern Tanzania is known for producing rubies with a vivid natural colour and a rich pink to red glow. Rubies from this area often carry a strong sense of grounding and vitality, shaped by the unique metamorphic conditions that formed them. Longido material has long been valued by carvers and collectors for its character, depth of colour and connection to one of East Africa’s most storied gem localities.
