A hand knapped mahogany obsidian arrowhead, set in recycled sterling silver and finished with a rope twist border around the bezel.
Arrowheads are some of the oldest tools people ever made. From the Palaeolithic onwards, early humans shaped stone into blades and points for hunting and survival, and obsidian, with its glassy edge, sharper than a razor, was one of their favourite materials. These pieces are still knapped by hand in that same ancient way.
Worn today, the arrowhead becomes a talisman of protection, direction and strength: a wearable fragment of ancient history that connects you to the earth, to your ancestors and to your oldest instincts.
Mahogany obsidian is obsidian streaked with rich red and brown, coloured by iron in the cooling lava.
Obsidian is volcanic glass, formed when lava cools too quickly to crystallise. Its deep, glossy black has made it a stone of protection for thousands of years, shaped into tools, mirrors and amulets by ancient cultures around the world.
It is a wonderfully grounding stone, associated with shielding against negativity, steadying the mind and bringing hidden thoughts and patterns to the surface.
